What is Ramadan ?
Ramadan is considered a time of spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and growth. It is believed that the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during this month.
One of the Five Pillars of Islam, during Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn (Fajr) to sunset (Maghrib), refraining from eating, drinking, and other physical needs. Charity (Zakat and Sadaqah): Muslims are encouraged to give to those in need, through Zakat (obligatory charity) and Sadaqah (voluntary charity), to promote social justice and empathy.
Self-Reflection and Repentance: Ramadan is an opportunity for personal growth, introspection, and seeking forgiveness for past mistakes through sincere repentance (Tawbah).
Laylat al-Qadr: A special night believed to be when the Quran was revealed. This is one of the last ten nights of Ramadan, considered the holiest.
Eid al-Fitr: The festival that marks the end of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr is a day of celebration, community gatherings, and feasts. It is a time for Muslims to show gratitude, give gifts, and share meals with family and friends.
